Cashless Procedures and FAQs

Starting January 6, 2025, the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex will transition to a fully cashless operation, eliminating the acceptance of cash payments across all registers within the complex. This change is part of an ongoing effort to streamline transactions, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the overall guest experience. Visitors will need to use credit cards, debit cards, or mobile payment options such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other contactless payment methods for all purchases, including tickets, food, beverages, and souvenirs. The move to cashless payments aligns with modern industry practices, reducing wait times and enhancing convenience for guests by providing faster, more secure transactions. However, recognizing that some visitors may still arrive with cash, the complex has implemented a convenient solution: cash-to-card kiosks will be available throughout the facility. These kiosks will allow guests to convert their cash into prepaid MasterCard cards, which can be used not only within the visitor complex but also anywhere MasterCard is accepted. The conversion process is simple and user-friendly, ensuring that all guests, regardless of their preferred payment method, can enjoy a seamless and enjoyable visit. There are no fees associated with obtaining or using these prepaid cards, making it an accessible option for those who may not typically use electronic payment methods. The decision to go cashless reflects a growing trend in hospitality and entertainment venues worldwide, prioritizing safety, convenience, and efficiency in customer transactions. Visitors are encouraged to plan ahead by preparing their preferred payment methods before their visit, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience as they explore the wonders of space exploration at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. For more information, guests can visit the official website or contact the visitor center directly to address any questions regarding the cashless transition.
